About Us

Founded in 1968 by Jack Dunlap, the company began as a modest operation selling needles and zippers out of the family home. Just a year later, Jack hired the first employees, and within six years, the growing business moved into its own building, became incorporated, and released its first catalog.

Over the years, the company expanded its offerings, adding a wide range of major product lines, including Juki, Union Special, Mitsubishi, Brother, Pegasus, Pfaff, AMF Reece, Eastman, and many others.

In 2002, Dunlap Sunbrand International was established when Dunlap Sales, Inc. acquired the assets and team of WG Apparel, Inc. (Sunbrand). This strategic move broadened the company’s sales reach and reinforced its presence in the Western Hemisphere.

Today, the business remains true to its roots. Jack Dunlap’s original mission—to serve the sewn products industry by providing timely distribution of equipment, parts, and related supplies and services—continues to guide the company. This commitment is upheld through the same core values that have driven its success since day one.
